Anxiousness
“full of mental distress or uneasiness because of fear of danger or misfortune; greatly worried about the future”
Philippians 4:6-7
New International Version(NIV)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Overestimate our ability to force an outcome and we underestimate our ability to choose.
1 Peter 5:5-7 (NIV)
“God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”
Humble yourselves, therefore,
under God’s mighty hand, that he may
lift you up in due time.
Cast all your anxiety on him
because he cares for you.
Anxiety is not a byproduct
of our circumstances,
it is an outcome:
a reflection of the unknown;
a reflection of where our trust is.
I trust me with me more than I trust God with me.
Humble yourself, pray, and listen to what God has to say.
Romans 8:28 (NIV)
…in all things ,
God works for the good
for those who love him,
who are called according
to his purpose.
Proverbs 3: 5-6 (NIV)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Living for a purpose that you have no guarantee of it being realized.
